2008-2010 Objectives:
- To design, implement and develop an observatory to support actions in the domains of sustainable rural development and of study of organic farming markets;
- To create a space of discussion on the sustainability of rural areas in Portugal and on the role of organic farming in the reinterpretation of a new emerging rural space that is becoming increasingly important through the adhesion to new agricultural practices that benefit from the incentives of the reformed CAP and, more specifically from the agro-environmental measures;
- To follow up/Evaluate the National Plan for the Development of Organic Farming 2004-2007 and the LEADER Programme 2000-2006.
