2008/2010 Objectives:
- To produce a white paper of scientific reference for the research issue;
- To create a critical mass in the area of geographical modelling to be applied in urban studies and spatial planning;
- To identify and measure urban sprawl, sustainable urban forms and morphologies, pixel by pixel and to analyse object oriented images;
- To develop an approach based in a multi-agent system for the study of spatial epidemics through GIS;
- To develop typologies based on the characteristics of beaches aiming at the study of spatial planning proposals;
- To develop methodologies for analyses in WEBSIG and of public participation related to the Geography of the Information Society.
