Objectives: 
  • To identify residential strategies of different social actors in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area;
  • To identify factors aiming at explaining residential satisfaction, particularly local identities;
  • To understand the functioning of the housing market from both the points of view of the supply side and demand side;
  • To identify the factors of change of the housing market in different socio-spatial contexts of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area: consolidated urban areas of different social strata; central and peripheral zones;  areas of urban sprawl and rehabilitation; areas of low and high building density; housing for leisure purposes;
  • To determine the relationship between  residential strategies and housing policies in the socio-spatial contexts in analysis;
  • To identify future territorial reconfigurations based on identified residential strategies and dynamics.
